Thirteen years ago we had our first department of transportation use of the WeedEnder^® Vegetation Control System under guardrails to help in their fight against unwanted vegetation. The DOTs, noticing how well the material worked in the telco industry around pedestals, wanted to test it on long runs of highways for beautification, labor savings, increased visibility, and safety for drivers. Today, DOTs across the country are still using this environmentally safe material to keep their roads, waterways, and drivers safe while keeping their guardrails, cable barriers (aka: guard cable or cable rail), and signs clear of weeds.

Environmental hazards of erosion and poisonous run-offs are obstacles that face the roadside maintenance industry every day. In the past it has been difficult to control unwanted vegetation without harming the environment – until now.

The Quick-Hook Stake Driver provides pneumatic driving of our custom designed WeedEnder Hook Stakes to minimize the time required to drive the Hook Stakes into the ground and through the WeedEnder mat by hand. This is especially effective if you are installing miles of WeedEnder under a new or existing guardrail or cable barriers (aka: guard cable or cable rail).
